Congratulations to all of our members that competed at the 2008 Joslins Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Open in Hamilton, Ontario. The Joslins competition is the largest event in Canada and the team's performance at this year's competition was simply amazing!

Mike Lapalme deserves tons of credit for the awesome refereeing job he did throughout the entire weekend--way to support the community and congrats on your ever-developing skills as a young, talented referee.
As your teacher, I am extremely proud of the skill, sportsmanship and heart that you guys demonstrated this weekend. TEAM ASCENSION continues to show skill and class in competition and it is in great tribute to the maturity of your character and diligence in your training. Thank you for demonstrating by example what it really means to be a TEAM and thank you for your continued support of each other. Congrats once again everyone!
