Thank you and congratulations to all of our competitors for a great weekend of BJJ & Submission Grappling! We are very happy that by holding our Salvosa BJJ tournament at this year's MMA Expo, we managed to demonstrate that Ontario Grappling possesses tremendous talent, sportsmanship and class.
Competitors fought extremely well and our referees took a big step to another level through two days and one seminar's worth of apprenticeship under one of the world's most established officials in Andrew Correa. We'd also like to thank Brian Cimins of Grapplers Quest for taking the time, not just to visit and check out our Canadian scene, but to actually volunteer to referee an entire day of matches. It was truly an honour to share the tournament experience with such knowledgeable and genuine people--you can tell these guys do it from the heart.
Last, but certainly not least, a HUGE thank you to the entire Salvosa BJJ tournament crew that fought, worked the tables and provided support throughout the weekend. We also had help from other teams and it was awesome to see a community chipping in together to make the event as enjoyable as possible for all involved. A sincere thank you to everyone involved!!!
